Celebrating 200 Subscribers! Plus a Special Announcement!
An expression of gratitude for all my subscribers!
When I first started my journey on Substack, I was filled with hope. I began this journey almost a year ago after a series of grave misfortunes in my life - a primary concern being my financial future. I was never good at marketing or networking myself. In fact, everything I seem to do vanished into obscurity with no eyes on any of the creative ambitions I vigorously worked towards. Even throughout the year I’ve been on this site I’ve had a myriad of doubts seep into my mind. Are my stories worth reading? Why aren’t I getting more subscribers? Is this even worth the effort?
After so long, I finally hit my first milestone! Thanks to your help in supporting this writing journey, I have hit 200 subscribers on Substack!
To celebrate, I will be sharing a few snippets of some incomplete projects, and I will then present you all an exclusive opportunity!
Before that, as a reminder, your feedback is critical to the success of Thunderous Fantasies. Be sure to check the link here for a survey so I know what kind of content you like to see.

A Never-Before Seen Preview of a Superhero Comic - Digitorium
I’ve made many attempts in the realm of entrepreneurship. I tried making a 100+ page manga, a social media platform, and even tried making my own cryptocurrency project. Sadly, none of those came through fruition, but maybe one day they will if I earn enough money.
There was one comic book project I was close to completing. The script was done, the paneling layout was completed. All it needed was a stellar artist with an amazing eye for lighting effects. I found one on Facebook before I got banned off there. His name was Marcelo Salaza, a Brazilian comic book artist. He worked on a lot of indie comics in his career, including one of my favorites, a hilarious comic called Florida Man.
You can check out some of his other contributions here.
The comic I hired him for was a super hero piece called “Digitorium.” This story is about Luke, a renowned ‘hacktivist’ who wreaks havoc against the United States, Britain, Israel, and other nations he deems a threat to humanity. He has hacked military equipment, leaked government secrets, even prevented a nuclear war by disabling all nuclear missile sites. One day, his luck ran out, and the US government finally caught him. However, right as he was almost apprehended, a freak accident with his experimental computer technology digitized his mind and spirit, getting him stuck in the digital world.
After making a deal with a mysterious, powerful AI to return to his body, this anonymous hacker must now wage war against the government to free the entity called HAALON using his newfound powers. Armed with the Binary Blade that can cut through all forms of matter by converting it into bits, and the Hex Dagger, which can download and re-materialize entire objects into its blade, he faces a conundrum over his fanaticism as his destiny endangers the people closest to him.
Here are a few snippets I’m happy to share with you all.
Do note that I did the lettering work for these panels, while Marcelo did all the artwork.
I began working on this story in 2020, and was heavily inspired by Static Shock when it came to the protagonist’s design. During the lockdowns, I had more flexibility thanks to remote work. Taking advantage of time freed from travel, and freed from the stress with the energy saved from working in the office, I was more capable to work on creative projects at home. It was meant to be a 60 page comic, and 15 of the pages were completed. This comic would have been completed if I still had my day job. Sadly, after being laid off in 2022, I was unable to supplement my income to continue funding this comic book, and sadly lost touch with the artist. One day, I pray I will be able to return to work on this and finally complete it. If Thunderous Fantasies becomes successful, you may just end up seeing the end results!
What Comes Next?
I am going to continue writing short stories, articles, and poetry to help further my reach. After hitting 200 Subscribers across all of Substack, my next milestone goal will strictly be for this publication. I wish to achieve 500 subscribers on Thunderous Fantasies.
